To cane or not to cane?

The time has come.

The time has come for society to accept responsibilty for the state of our youth. As a parent,who freely uses the strap and the cane, I am sorely disheartened at the manner in which so many parents appear happy to allow their "young adults" to run wild,causing fear to older and more vulnerable people, bullying weaker kids, causing mayhem on the streets. The sign of a secure childhood is not having every gizmo that you demand, it is knowning your boundries. A child who knows that come friday night the cane will be coming down and a price will be paid for disobedience and bad behaviour, is far less likely to turn out bad. In my day respect was earned over the back of a chair with our panties at our knees waiting for the cane or strap to give us a well deserved reminder of our proper place. After a good hiding we might not have been smiling, but we knew our parents cared enough to keep us on the right track.

What age should a good parent spank from?

A good parent will spank from a child is old enough to understand right and wrong. As a child develops the method will change from a few slaps on the bottom at an early age, to a methodical procedure at teenage years when the child will fetch the strap/cane, take their pants/jeans down, or hitch up their skirt, lower their underpants or panties and bend over for anything from 6 to two dozen well delivered strokes. Children should be encouraged to count the strokes aloud and to maintain their position during punishment, and always to thank their parents when it is over.
